How to Find Us

We are conveniently located about 2 miles from Brighton centre, just off the A23 and about 2 minutes from the A27. Just click on the map on the right of the screen or further down the page for more details.

Trains – we are a 15 minute walk or 3-4 minute drive from Preston Park station which has direct services to London.

Buses – we are very fortunate to have a bus stop right outside the nursery (No 5 and 5A) which run every 10-15 minutes into Brighton, via Preston Park, and out again to Hangleton via Hove). Bus Timetables Brighton and Hove

In addition here is the number 27 bus within a 3 minute walk which runs into the City and then along the seafront. There is also a route to the nursery from Crawley taking in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Hassocks the 271 Buses route 270, 271 and 272

Cars – we have a very large forecourt which means you will normally be able to drop off and collect without parking on the road.

Bikes – we have a dedicated bike rack on the front drive.

Buggies – if you would prefer to walk then you can put your buggy into our secure storage.

Disabled Access – whilst we do not have a lift to the first floor, access on the ground floor and to the garden is flat with no steps.

Schools – we’re within a 2 – 5 minute drive of Westdene, Patcham, Carden, St Christopher’s, Brighton and Hove High School, Vardean, St Bernadette’s, Balfour and Dorothy Stringer.

Nursery Travel Plan

As part of the Local Authority regulations governing our permission to operate as a Nursery, we are required to operate a Travel Plan, which details how we will successfully manage the journeys to and from the premises.

In producing our travel plan, the staff and proprietors of the nursery aim to:Car Park 2

  • Reduce the flow of traffic during busy times of the day.
  • Encourage more parents to walk with their children to nursery.
  • Encourage parents to park and walk to nursery to prevent congestion.
  • Encourage more parents to use public transport.
  • Encourage more parents to share their journeys to and from nursery.
  • Raise awareness of environmental issues relating to pollution.
  • Raise awareness of the health benefits of walking.
  • Raise awareness of issues relating to road safety.

Buggy Shed 2Buggy and Bike Storage

On the front driveway we have a large and secure buggy store to accommodate pushchairs and carseats. Please remember to fold the buggies before you place them in the store. There is a keycoded didgilock on the door which is password protected so please ask at the office for details.

Next to the buggy store is a sheltered bike rack with secure steel posts for affixing your bike lock. Please be aware that although we do everything we can to ensure security of belongings in the buggy store and bike rack, we are unable to accept responsibility for damage or theft. As a further security measure we also have CCTV on the front driveway monitoring the buggy store and bike rack.

Car Parking

We are very fortunate to have a large forecourt off the main road which will accommodate up to ten cars at any one time. We have an extra wide driveway to allow Drivewayentrance and exit to our car park to enable parents to drop off and collect your children safely. All parents must please use the car park facilities wherever possible and ensure that you DO NOT park on the grass verge outside of the nursery. In summary we respectfully request that parents park considerately both for the benefit of other parents and our neighbours.
