" It was nearly seven years before we started that we first discussed the possibility of setting up a nursery. So it was with great satisfaction and excitement that finally in June 2004 we opened the doors to our first children. 
It seems a long time ago now, but we can still remember the road to The Wishing Tree being a very long journey, punctuated by many challenges, not the least of which was finding the right premises and staff.
In our wonderful management team of Bridget, Vicky, Anna and Wendy, who are still with us today, we found childcare professionals who share our passion for high quality and attention to detail. This belief has led to the nursery being awarded Ofsted "Outstanding" in 2005 and 2009. Our aim is quite simply to provide the best outcomes for children and families that we can.
The Wishing Tree is the culmination of many “if only” and “one day we’ll do this” conversations with family and friends. It's also the culmination of much thought about the detail that goes into delivering a successful nursery for children, staff, parents and carers. OFSTED Self-Evaluation - as part of our continuous improvement programme, the nursery has a commitment to self-evaluation and reflective practice. Healthy Eating Award - We have just completed our latest quality assurance module (QuILT) and have been awarded a credit for our commitment to high nutritional standards. Scores on the Doors - After an unnanounced inspection recently by the Local Authority's Environmental Health team, we have retained our 5 stars for food hygiene, so well done to Diane, Dee and Barbara for their great efforts in the kitchen. |
